Who is laser hair removal suitable for?
Whether laser hair removal is suitable for you depends particularly on your skin type, hair colour and hair thickness. Dark, coarse hair usually responds better. Very light, white, grey or red hair often does not respond sufficiently to laser treatment.
Before treatment begins, we assess your skin and hair and discuss the possibilities and limitations with you. Recent tanning, skin irritation and medication can affect treatment planning. Please tell us about these during your consultation.

Frequently asked questions
Your skin should be as untanned as possible and free from irritation before laser hair removal. Avoid strong sun exposure and sunbeds for several weeks before your appointment. Shave the treatment area the day before your session. Avoid waxing, plucking or epilating, as these methods remove the hair from the root.
Arrive with clean skin, without deodorant, body lotion or make-up. Please tell us about any medication you have taken in the past two weeks. We do not carry out laser treatments during pregnancy.
Hair grows in different cycles, so the laser can only target follicles in the active growth phase. Several appointments are therefore needed to work towards long-term hair reduction. Most people need six to eight sessions, usually spaced around four to eight weeks apart.
The number of treatments required depends on your skin type, hair thickness and treatment area. After each session, other hairs enter the active growth phase and can be treated at a later appointment. Additional sessions may be appropriate, particularly if the hair is very dense or coarse. Individual results vary.
How laser hair removal feels varies from person to person. During treatment, the skin is continuously cooled to help reduce the sensation of heat. The laser settings can be adjusted individually according to your skin's response and comfort.
You may feel a brief pinching, prickling or stinging sensation. Sensitive areas can feel more uncomfortable. Temporary redness or warmth may occur afterwards, and the time it takes for the skin to settle varies. We explain what to expect before treatment.
Treat the skin gently after laser hair removal. Avoid products such as deodorant, body lotion or make-up immediately after treatment to help minimise irritation. You can usually resume your usual skincare the following day, provided the skin has settled and this is consistent with your individual aftercare instructions.
Protect the treated areas from direct sunlight for at least two weeks. A cool compress may help soothe the skin if needed. Mild redness or warmth often settles within a few hours, although the response varies.
Prices depend on the treatment area, for example CHF 39 for the upper lip or CHF 59 for women's underarms per session, both excl. VAT. Receive a 10 % discount when booking two or more treatment areas. A test treatment on a small area is free. You can find all prices in the price list above.
With the AlexPrime Multilaser Method®, we select the laser technology to suit your skin type and hair texture. Dark, pigmented hair generally responds better; very light, grey, white or red hair often responds less well. Careful assessment is particularly important for darker or tanned skin. We discuss this during your free test treatment.
Our studio is in Wallisellen, directly at Glattzentrum, near Zurich, at Richtiring 30. From Zurich HB, the S-Bahn journey to Wallisellen station takes around 8 minutes, followed by a walk of approximately 3 minutes. If you are travelling by car, parking options are available near the studio.
How it works:
Preparing for your laser hair removal
Shave the treatment area the day before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid strong sun exposure and sunbeds beforehand, as well as waxing, epilating and plucking. You can find further preparation advice in the frequently asked questions above.
If you cannot shave the areas yourself, we can do this at the studio on request for an additional charge.
Individual skin assessment before treatment
Before each laser hair removal session, we assess your skin to tailor the treatment to your individual circumstances. We check the treatment areas for pigmentation changes, moles or sensitive patches that need protection during the session. We also assess your skin and hair type so that the laser settings can be adjusted individually.
This assessment helps us plan treatment with skin tolerance and long-term hair reduction in mind. Results and skin responses vary, and an even or permanent result cannot be guaranteed.
What happens during laser treatment?
Laser hair removal begins after preparation and the skin assessment. Pigment in the hair absorbs light energy and converts it into heat, which targets the structures responsible for hair growth. Our team adjusts the settings to your skin, hair and treatment area. Cooling helps protect the skin and reduce the sensation of heat.
The duration depends on the size and number of treatment areas. Small areas often take only a few minutes, while larger or multiple areas take longer. We discuss the planned appointment length during your consultation or booking. Throughout treatment, we monitor your skin’s response and adjust the settings if needed.
Immediately after treatment
You can usually return to your everyday activities straight after laser hair removal. The treated hairs initially remain in the skin and gradually shed over the next 2-3 weeks. This is a normal part of the process.
To protect your skin during this time, avoid direct sunlight for around two weeks and use high-factor sun protection when exposure cannot be avoided. Mild redness or warmth may occur but usually settles shortly after treatment.
Ongoing care
Between appointments, shave the treated areas as needed and avoid waxing, epilating or plucking. Protect your skin from strong sunlight and follow the aftercare instructions we give you after treatment.
We plan the intervals between sessions according to the body area and hair growth. Before your next appointment, please tell us about any skin reactions, new medication or changes in tanning so that we can adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
What results are realistic?
The aim of laser hair removal is a long-term reduction in hair growth. The extent and speed of this reduction depend on factors including skin type, hair colour, hair thickness and the body area. Several sessions are needed because not all hairs are in the appropriate growth phase at the same time.
Complete, lifelong freedom from hair cannot be guaranteed. Hair may grow back later, and maintenance treatments may be appropriate depending on your response. During your consultation, we discuss your starting point and realistic expectations. You can find information about the usual number of sessions and the intervals between them in our frequently asked questions.
